We are happy to offer beautiful clothing and accessories from MarketPlaceIndia,an innovative nonprofit organization for social change and economic improvement for women artisans in and near Mumbai. Apparel is made of hand-woven or hand-printed fabrics embellished using age-old techniques of embroidery, batik or free-hand painting so that each item is unique with a label signed by its maker.
Working in small cooperatives has allowed women to learn sewing and business skills and in so doing uplift the lives of their families and communities as they earn fair wages.
