Iguana is a wonderfully bold patterned and colorful line of women’s clothing designed, manufactured, and sold by North Carolina Resident Frank Howard.   As it happened, Frank dropped into my fashion sphere several years ago and asked if he could show me his wares.  When I said yes, and he brought his Spring line through the door, it felt like a kindred spirit had just dropped into my design world.  While I had not intended to purchase another line of clothing at the time, when I saw how the soft, lightweight summer rayon gently draped my body, and how I felt transformed when wearing his fashions, I could not resist.  Frank explained that his fabrics are batik printed and hand-painted by his artisans before he sends them to the garment makers for production.  The end product is a garment of the highest quality.  Customers who have worn their beloved Iguana for several years say their garments still look fresh and fashionable.  If you like bold and beautiful, want to support artisans in the fashion industry, and want your clothing choices to lift your spirits, Iguana is for you.  Should you want to purchase Iguana, I suggest that you go down one size.

PS – Is rayon a natural fiber, you may ask?  The answer is “well, yes and no”.  While rayon is made from purified cellular fibers, some chemicals are used in the making.  Therefore, rayon is considered a semi-natural fabric.  Rayon is known as a shapeshifter, often appearing to be silk, cotton or wool.  It’s good to know that rayon is breathable and moisture-absorbent.
